Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.76%

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials , Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.76%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ), which rose 3.83% or 0.11 points to trade at 2.93 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) added 2.04% or 0.01 points to end at 0.46 and Semapa (ELI: SEM ) was up 1.60% or 0.22 points to 14.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ), which fell 1.83% or 0.18 points to trade at 9.65 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: CTT ) declined 0.95% or 0.05 points to end at 5.23 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) was down 0.79% or 0.06 points to 7.52.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 18 to 10 and 4 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.78% or 0.57 to $73.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.85% or 0.59 to hit $70.21 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 23.71 to trade at $2,630.19 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 107.88.
