Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.82%
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring , Insurance and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS: EKGYO ), which rose 7.53% or 1.06 points to trade at 15.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Astor Enerji AS (IS: ASTOR ) added 7.48% or 7.90 points to end at 113.50 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS: CLEBI ) was up 5.14% or 109.00 points to 2,230.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS: ALFAS ), which fell 9.96% or 6.85 points to trade at 61.95 at the close. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS: FENER ) declined 5.65% or 2.91 points to end at 48.64 and Smart Gunes Enerjisi Teknolojileri Arastirma Gelistirme Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret (IS: SMRTG ) was down 4.99% or 2.12 points to 40.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 328 to 241 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.38% or 40.14 to $2,940.84 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.39% or 0.98 to hit $71.69 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.62% or 0.47 to trade at $75.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.17% to 36.27, while EUR/TRY unchanged 0.01% to 37.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 106.82.
