Belgium stocks higher at close of trade; BEL 20 up 0.82%
Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services , Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Sofina (EBR: SOF ), which rose 3.22% or 7.40 points to trade at 237.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Cofinimmo SA (EBR: COFB ) added 3.20% or 1.75 points to end at 56.45 and Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (EBR: ABI ) was up 1.98% or 1.00 points to 51.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Melexis NV (EBR: MLXS ), which fell 1.45% or 0.90 points to trade at 61.05 at the close. Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR: WDPP ) declined 1.23% or 0.26 points to end at 20.96 and Ageas (EBR: AGES ) was down 0.49% or 0.25 points to 51.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 53 to 35 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.15% or 4.51 to $2,951.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.03% or 1.47 to hit $71.01 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.91% or 1.46 to trade at $75.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 106.56.
