Spain stocks higher at close of trade; IBEX 35 up 0.85%
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate , Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Enagas (BME: ENAG ), which rose 2.93% or 0.36 points to trade at 12.63 at the close. Meanwhile, SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: SLRS ) added 2.24% or 0.18 points to end at 7.99 and Mapfre (BME: MAP ) was up 2.13% or 0.06 points to 2.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amadeus IT (BME: AMA ), which fell 1.55% or 1.08 points to trade at 68.78 at the close. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME: ICAG ) declined 1.37% or 0.05 points to end at 3.88 and ArcelorMittal SA (BME: MTS ) was down 1.34% or 0.36 points to 26.48.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 104 to 93 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.91% or 56.71 to $2,906.49 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.64% or 1.87 to hit $68.83 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 2.60% or 1.93 to trade at $72.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 106.42.
