Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 1.29%
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology , Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.29%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ASELS ), which rose 6.17% or 5.00 points to trade at 86.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS: AEFES ) added 5.57% or 9.00 points to end at 170.50 and Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS: ISCTR ) was up 4.69% or 0.68 points to 15.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Holding AS (IS: NTHOL ), which fell 3.47% or 1.48 points to trade at 41.20 at the close. Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ) declined 3.12% or 0.39 points to end at 12.11 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS: ENERY ) was down 2.41% or 5.40 points to 218.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 322 to 249 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.13% or 3.81 to $2,922.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.07% or 0.05 to hit $68.98 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.11 to trade at $72.39 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 36.45, while EUR/TRY rose 0.04% to 38.30.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 106.37.
