Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 1.39%
Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials , Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.39% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST: ATCOb ), which rose 2.09% or 3.40 points to trade at 164.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST: VOLVb ) added 2.06% or 6.90 points to end at 342.30 and Alfa Laval AB (ST: ALFA ) was up 1.97% or 9.20 points to 475.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sinch AB (ST: SINCH ), which fell 1.60% or 0.40 points to trade at 24.62 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST: GETIb ) declined 1.05% or 2.30 points to end at 216.40 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST: SCAb ) was down 0.70% or 1.10 points to 148.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 409 to 344 and 82 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volvo, AB ser. B (ST: VOLVb ) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.06% or 6.90 to 342.30.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.15% or 0.10 to $68.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.32% or 0.23 to hit $72.27 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 9.91 to trade at $2,928.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.18% to 11.16, while USD/SEK rose 0.15% to 10.61.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 106.18.
