Greece stocks higher at close of trade; Athens General Composite up 0.62%
Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking , Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Alpha Bank SA (AT: ACBr ), which rose 5.82% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.95 at the close. Meanwhile, National Bank of Greece SA (AT: NBGr ) added 3.53% or 0.30 points to end at 8.92 and Public Power (AT: DEHr ) was up 2.24% or 0.29 points to 13.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aktor Symmetochon Technikon kai Energoiakon Ergon AE (AT: AKTRr ), which fell 2.42% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.25 at the close. Athens International Airport SA (AT: AIAr ) declined 1.69% or 0.15 points to end at 8.74 and Metlen Energy & Metals AE (AT: MYTr ) was down 1.49% or 0.54 points to 35.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 59 and 21 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.22% or 35.46 to $2,860.44 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.71% or 0.50 to hit $69.85 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.86% or 0.63 to trade at $72.94 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 107.26.
