Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.85%
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms , Insurance and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were LDR Turizm AS (IS: LIDER ), which rose 5.92% or 8.60 points to trade at 153.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Net Holding AS (IS: NTHOL ) added 5.24% or 2.18 points to end at 43.80 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ASELS ) was up 3.83% or 3.45 points to 93.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS: TCELL ), which fell 6.50% or 7.00 points to trade at 100.70 at the close. Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: CIMSA ) declined 5.02% or 2.38 points to end at 45.02 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS: KOZAL ) was down 4.11% or 0.96 points to 22.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 311 to 263 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: ASELS ) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.83% or 3.45 to 93.45.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.40% or 40.40 to $2,855.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.90% or 0.63 to hit $69.72 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.74 to trade at $72.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.27% to 36.51, while EUR/TRY rose 0.54% to 38.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 107.18.
