Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , Plastic and Oil, Gas & Electricity sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.75%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Fortune Information Systems Corp (TW: 2468 ), which rose 9.99% or 4.45 points to trade at 49.00 at the close. Meanwhile, We & Win Development Co Ltd (TW: 2537 ) added 9.81% or 1.30 points to end at 14.55 and BizLink Holding Inc (TW: 3665 ) was up 7.16% or 40.00 points to 599.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Compucase Enterprise Co Ltd (TW: 3032 ), which fell 9.93% or 9.80 points to trade at 88.90 at the close. Acelon Chemicals & Fiber Corp (TW: 1466 ) declined 9.90% or 1.90 points to end at 17.30 and Microelectronics Technology Inc (TW: 2314 ) was down 9.85% or 1.95 points to 17.85.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Fortune Information Systems Corp (TW: 2468 ) rose to all time highs; gaining 9.99% or 4.45 to 49.00. Shares in Microelectronics Technology Inc (TW: 2314 ) fell to 3-years lows; falling 9.85% or 1.95 to 17.85.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.07% or 0.05 to $68.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $71.51 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 5.57 to trade at $3,053.97 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.12% to 33.03, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.10% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 103.72.
