Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , Electronic Parts/Components and Computers & Peripherals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.46%.

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Aero Win Technology Corp (TW: 8222 ), which rose 10.00% or 4.35 points to trade at 47.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortune Information Systems Corp (TW: 2468 ) added 10.00% or 4.90 points to end at 53.90 and Anji Technology Co Ltd (TW: 6477 ) was up 9.99% or 3.50 points to 38.55 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Apex International Co Ltd (TW: 4927 ), which fell 9.97% or 4.45 points to trade at 40.20 at the close. Microelectronics Technology Inc (TW: 2314 ) declined 9.80% or 1.75 points to end at 16.10 and Flytech Technology Co Ltd (TW: 6206 ) was down 6.93% or 9.50 points to 127.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Fortune Information Systems Corp (TW: 2468 ) rose to all time highs; up 10.00% or 4.90 to 53.90. Shares in Microelectronics Technology Inc (TW: 2314 ) fell to 3-years lows; down 9.80% or 1.75 to 16.10.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.39% or 0.27 to $69.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $72.65 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 1.26 to trade at $3,055.56 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.04% to 33.08, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.07% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 103.98.
