Brazil stocks higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.57%
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Consumption and Public Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF: VAMO3 ), which rose 15.62% or 0.67 points to trade at 4.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos (BVMF: HAPV3 ) added 7.21% or 0.15 points to end at 2.23 and Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF: CVCB3 ) was up 6.60% or 0.14 points to 2.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Raia Drogasil SA (BVMF: RADL3 ), which fell 2.54% or 0.50 points to trade at 19.18 at the close. Embraer SA (BVMF: EMBR3 ) declined 2.12% or 1.51 points to end at 69.74 and Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF: PETZ3 ) was down 1.87% or 0.08 points to 4.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 485 to 438 and 67 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.33% to 30.22.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.35% or 10.59 to $3,054.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.13% or 0.09 to hit $69.20 a barrel, while the May US coffee C contract rose 1.27% or 5.00 to trade at $398.40 .
USD/BRL was down 1.02% to 5.71, while EUR/BRL fell 1.11% to 6.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 103.86.
