Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.86%
Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials , Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI added 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ), which rose 3.88% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ) added 3.00% or 0.10 points to end at 3.43 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) was up 1.57% or 0.02 points to 1.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ), which fell 1.14% or 0.07 points to trade at 6.05 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ) declined 0.94% or 0.08 points to end at 7.91 and EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ) was down 0.32% or 0.01 points to 3.09.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 15 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ) fell to 5-year lows; losing 0.94% or 0.08 to 7.91. Shares in Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.57% or 0.02 to 1.04.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.18% or 0.13 to $72.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.33% or 0.23 to hit $68.88 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 12.91 to trade at $3,056.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 103.70.
