France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 1.08%
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 1.08%, while the SBF 120 index gained 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (EPA: AIR ), which rose 3.05% or 5.10 points to trade at 172.32 at the close. Meanwhile, BNP Paribas SA (EPA: BNPP ) added 2.71% or 2.15 points to end at 81.58 and Credit Agricole SA (EPA: CAGR ) was up 2.64% or 0.45 points to 17.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA: PERP ), which fell 1.04% or 0.98 points to trade at 93.20 at the close. Legrand SA (EPA: LEGD ) declined 0.72% or 0.75 points to end at 103.95 and Kering SA (EPA: PRTP ) was down 0.64% or 1.30 points to 201.10.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Solutions 30 SE (EPA: S30 ) which rose 9.73% to 1.73, Atos SE (EPA: ATOS ) which was unchanged 5.26% to settle at 0.00 and Valeo SA (EPA: VLOF ) which gained 4.10% to close at 10.25.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA: ETL ) which was down 11.61% to 3.41 in late trade, Valneva (EPA: VLS ) which lost 6.58% to settle at 3.32 and Alten SA (EPA: LTEN ) which was down 1.90% to 95.55 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 309 to 182 and 75 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pernod Ricard SA (EPA: PERP ) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.04% or 0.98 to 93.20. Shares in BNP Paribas SA (EPA: BNPP ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.71% or 2.15 to 81.58. Shares in Credit Agricole SA (EPA: CAGR ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.64% or 0.45 to 17.30. Shares in Kering SA (EPA: PRTP ) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.64% or 1.30 to 201.10.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.43% or 13.14 to $3,057.14 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.36% or 0.25 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.21% or 0.15 to trade at $72.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 103.71.
