Belgium stocks higher at close of trade; BEL 20 up 0.17%
Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 rose 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Umicore SA (EBR: UMI ), which rose 3.55% or 0.33 points to trade at 9.47 at the close. Meanwhile, D’Ieteren NV (EBR: IETB ) added 3.46% or 5.70 points to end at 170.60 and Solvay SA (EBR: SOLB ) was up 2.21% or 0.74 points to 34.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UCB SA (EBR: UCB ), which fell 2.34% or 4.20 points to trade at 175.25 at the close. Argen-X (EBR: ARGX ) declined 1.06% or 6.00 points to end at 559.00 and Syensqo SA (EBR: SYENS ) was down 0.53% or 0.35 points to 66.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 60 to 35 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Syensqo SA (EBR: SYENS ) fell to all time lows; falling 0.53% or 0.35 to 66.15.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.41% or 12.61 to $3,056.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.42% or 0.29 to hit $68.82 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.26% or 0.19 to trade at $72.18 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 103.72.
