Italy stocks lower at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 down 0.80%

Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology , Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.80%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT: BCU ), which rose 2.13% or 2.30 points to trade at 110.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Leonardo SpA (BIT: LDOF ) added 1.50% or 0.68 points to end at 45.94 and Saipem SpA (BIT: SPMI ) was up 1.47% or 0.03 points to 2.22 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Prysmian SpA (BIT: PRY ), which fell 6.20% or 3.52 points to trade at 53.24 at the close. Banco Bpm SpA (BIT: BAMI ) declined 4.48% or 0.46 points to end at 9.81 and STMicroelectronics (BIT: STMMI ) was down 4.05% or 0.91 points to 21.54.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 302 to 208 and 51 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.17% or 0.81 to $69.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.08% or 0.78 to hit $73.17 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 2.90 to trade at $3,051.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.30% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 104.01.
