Morocco stocks higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 0.13%
Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper , Holding Companies and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Wafa Assurance (CSE: WAA ), which rose 7.69% or 400.00 points to trade at 5,600.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Taqa Morocco SA (CSE: TQM ) added 5.58% or 120.00 points to end at 2,270.00 and Afriquia Gaz (CSE: GAZ ) was up 3.91% or 168.00 points to 4,468.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jet Contractors (CSE: JET ), which fell 9.96% or 260.00 points to trade at 2,350.00 at the close. SMI (CSE: SMI ) declined 6.63% or 157.00 points to end at 2,211.00 and Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE: SNP ) was down 6.28% or 40.90 points to 610.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 35 to 20 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wafa Assurance (CSE: WAA ) rose to all time highs; up 7.69% or 400.00 to 5,600.00. Shares in Taqa Morocco SA (CSE: TQM ) rose to all time highs; rising 5.58% or 120.00 to 2,270.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.19% or 0.13 to $69.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $73.13 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 42.49 to trade at $3,094.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.06% to 10.37, while USD/MAD fell 0.10% to 9.61.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 103.94.
