Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 0.18%
Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI: GALP ), which rose 2.48% or 0.39 points to trade at 16.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ) added 1.63% or 0.06 points to end at 3.49 and Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI: RENE ) was up 1.30% or 0.04 points to 2.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI: JMT ), which fell 1.53% or 0.30 points to trade at 19.32 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ) declined 1.08% or 0.01 points to end at 0.57 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ) was down 0.99% or 0.06 points to 6.03.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 12 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI: RENE ) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.30% or 0.04 to 2.72.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.05% or 0.04 to $73.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $69.73 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.32% or 40.39 to trade at $3,092.69 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.46% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 103.91.
