Netherlands stocks lower at close of trade; AEX down 0.41%
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare , Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS: IMCD ), which rose 1.77% or 2.20 points to trade at 126.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Akzo Nobel NV (AS: AKZO ) added 0.49% or 0.28 points to end at 57.78 and Heineken (AS: HEIN ) was up 0.48% or 0.36 points to 74.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koninklijke Philips NV (AS: PHG ), which fell 1.96% or 0.46 points to trade at 23.01 at the close. Universal Music Group NV (AS: UMG ) declined 1.79% or 0.45 points to end at 24.75 and Exor NV (AS: EXOR ) was down 1.61% or 1.35 points to 82.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 56 to 37 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Exor NV (AS: EXOR ) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.61% or 1.35 to 82.75.
The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.41% or 0.29 to $71.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.27% or 0.20 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.76% or 24.00 to trade at $3,170.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 103.44.
