Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 1.41%
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring , Non-Metal Mineral Products and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS: KTLEV ), which rose 9.98% or 6.45 points to trade at 71.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Grainturk Holding AS (IS: GRTHO ) added 5.98% or 19.75 points to end at 350.00 and Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS: BRYAT ) was up 5.13% or 99.00 points to 2,030.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ), which fell 10.00% or 15.00 points to trade at 135.00 at the close. Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: CIMSA ) declined 6.94% or 3.53 points to end at 47.32 and Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS: ISMEN ) was down 5.27% or 2.12 points to 38.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 318 to 257 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.64% or 20.21 to $3,166.21 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.37% or 0.26 to hit $71.46 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.12 to trade at $74.61 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.04% to 37.92, while EUR/TRY rose 0.63% to 41.20.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.42% at 103.51.
