Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 2.31%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Personal & Household Goods , Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.31% to hit a new 52-week low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CSE: NSISb ), which rose 2.78% or 11.20 points to trade at 413.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ) added 2.05% or 2.00 points to end at 97.70 and Genmab (CSE: GMAB ) was up 0.74% or 9.50 points to 1,285.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CSE: PNDORA ), which fell 10.68% or 113.50 points to trade at 949.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ) declined 9.49% or 1,125.00 points to end at 10,730.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE: MAERSKa ) was down 9.33% or 1,090.00 points to 10,590.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 97 to 35 and 18 ended unchanged.

Shares in Pandora A/S (CSE: PNDORA ) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.68% or 113.50 to 949.00.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 7.36% or 5.28 to $66.43 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 6.75% or 5.06 to hit $69.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.16% or 36.85 to trade at $3,129.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 1.85% to 6.75, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.91% at 101.52.
