Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 2.23%
Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials , Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 2.23%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC: CFV ), which rose 3.41% or 560.00 points to trade at 17,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC: DVI_p ) added 2.90% or 600.00 points to end at 21,300.00 and Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC: ARG_p ) was up 1.75% or 300.00 points to 17,400.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ecopetrol SA (BVC: ECO ), which fell 3.61% or 75.00 points to trade at 2,005.00 at the close. Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC: SCA ) declined 1.43% or 1,100.00 points to end at 75,820.00 and Banco De Bogota SA (BVC: BBO ) was down 0.69% or 220.00 points to 31,480.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Grupo Argos SA Pref (BVC: ARG_p ) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.75% or 300.00 to 17,400.00.
US coffee C for May delivery was down 4.48% or 17.25 to $368.00 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 8.50% or 790.00 to hit $8,501.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 2.08% or 64.95 to trade at $3,056.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.34% to 4,213.53, while BRL/COP fell 2.33% to 721.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.83% at 102.64.
