Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.67%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials , Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.67%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (BVC: CCB_p ), which rose 1.63% or 160.00 points to trade at 10,000.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) added 0.36% or 140.00 points to end at 39,140.00 and Celsia SA (BVC: CEL ) was up 0.25% or 10.00 points to 4,015.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC: GAA_p ), which fell 4.75% or 27.00 points to trade at 542.00 at the close. Grupo Energia Bogota SA ESP (BVC: GEB ) declined 4.51% or 135.00 points to end at 2,860.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ) was down 3.70% or 400.00 points to 10,400.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 0.36% or 140.00 to 39,140.00.

US coffee C for May delivery was down 6.97% or 25.50 to $340.20 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 6.45% or 549.00 to hit $7,963.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.21% or 36.60 to trade at $2,998.80 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 2.67% to 4,392.25, while BRL/COP rose 1.42% to 742.42.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 103.22.
