Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 3.54%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials , Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 3.54% to hit a new 1-month low.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ), which rose 4.35% or 600.00 points to trade at 14,400.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cementos Argos Pf (BVC: CCB_p ) added 1.63% or 160.00 points to end at 10,000.00 and Promigas (BVC: PMG ) was up 1.54% or 100.00 points to 6,610.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC: NCH ), which fell 5.47% or 6,820.00 points to trade at 117,940.00 at the close. Mineros SA (BVC: MAS ) declined 2.28% or 130.00 points to end at 5,570.00 and Bancolombia Pf (BVC: BIC_p1 ) was down 2.14% or 920.00 points to 42,080.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.35% or 600.00 to 14,400.00.

US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.87% or 3.00 to $341.80 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 3.56% or 287.00 to hit $7,766.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.83% or 24.55 to trade at $2,998.15 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.06% to 4,424.25, while BRL/COP rose 0.02% to 735.70.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 102.73.
