Spain stocks lower at close of trade; IBEX 35 down 0.03%

Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Building & Construction , Financial Services & Real Estate and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.03%.

The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME: SLRS ), which rose 3.77% or 0.24 points to trade at 6.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Unicaja Banco SA (BME: UNI ) added 2.41% or 0.04 points to end at 1.57 and Redeia Corporacion SA (BME: REDE ) was up 2.25% or 0.41 points to 18.62 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Fluidra (BME: FLUI ), which fell 4.92% or 0.98 points to trade at 18.93 at the close. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME: ICAG ) declined 2.81% or 0.08 points to end at 2.77 and Ferrovial (BME: FER ) was down 2.50% or 0.98 points to 38.24.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 107 to 77 and 23 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 2.61% or 82.96 to $3,260.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.93% or 0.56 to hit $60.63 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.85% or 0.54 to trade at $63.87 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 1.12% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.48% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.71% at 99.90.
