Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.45%
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport , Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ), which rose 9.99% or 0.99 points to trade at 10.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ) added 9.95% or 4.89 points to end at 54.05 and Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) was up 6.08% or 2.70 points to 47.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sti (IS: ANSGR ), which fell 5.08% or 4.65 points to trade at 86.85 at the close. Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik AS (IS: ANHYT ) declined 4.25% or 3.60 points to end at 81.20 and Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS: OYAKC ) was down 4.07% or 1.20 points to 28.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 318 to 257 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) rose to all time highs; gaining 6.08% or 2.70 to 47.14.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 2.40% or 76.16 to $3,253.66 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.40% or 0.24 to hit $60.31 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.30% or 0.19 to trade at $63.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.44% to 38.06, while EUR/TRY rose 1.89% to 43.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.91% at 99.69.
