Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.59%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.59%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE: MAERSKa ), which rose 3.24% or 315.00 points to trade at 10,040.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ) added 3.14% or 310.00 points to end at 10,170.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ) was up 2.62% or 10.80 points to 420.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE: DSV ), which fell 1.97% or 22.50 points to trade at 1,117.00 at the close. Pandora A/S (CSE: PNDORA ) declined 1.83% or 17.40 points to end at 932.20 and Rockwool International B (CSE: ROCKb ) was down 0.81% or 2.00 points to 263.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 92 to 46 and 8 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.47% or 0.28 to $60.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.36% or 0.23 to hit $63.56 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 2.47% or 78.41 to trade at $3,255.91 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 1.30% to 6.58, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.47.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.90% at 99.71.
