Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.45%
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring , Non-Metal Mineral Products and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ), which rose 10.00% or 1.09 points to trade at 11.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: OBAMS ) added 9.99% or 5.40 points to end at 59.45 and Can2 Termik AS (IS: CANTE ) was up 9.43% or 0.15 points to 1.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grainturk Holding AS (IS: GRTHO ), which fell 3.92% or 15.50 points to trade at 379.50 at the close. Enerjisa Enerji AS (IS: ENJSA ) declined 3.13% or 2.00 points to end at 62.00 and Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sti (IS: ANSGR ) was down 2.53% or 2.20 points to 84.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 358 to 213 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.66% or 21.29 to $3,223.31 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $61.40 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.11% or 0.07 to trade at $64.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.50% to 38.05, while EUR/TRY rose 0.69% to 43.31.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 99.35.
