Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 3.04%
Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Chemicals and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 3.04%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ), which rose 5.63% or 24.10 points to trade at 451.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE: VWS ) added 4.41% or 3.80 points to end at 89.90 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ) was up 4.08% or 415.00 points to 10,585.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tryg A/S (CSE: TRYG ), which fell 0.99% or 1.50 points to trade at 150.30 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE: COLOb ) declined 0.26% or 1.80 points to end at 694.40 and ISS A/S (CSE: ISS ) was down 0.26% or 0.40 points to 151.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 98 to 38 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.15% or 0.09 to $61.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.11% or 0.07 to hit $64.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 21.61 to trade at $3,222.99 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.08% to 6.57, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.47.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 99.36.
