Morocco stocks higher at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares up 3.17%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport , Chemicals and Electrical & Electronic equipment sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 3.17%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Salafin (CSE: SLF ), which rose 9.82% or 59.00 points to trade at 660.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ciments Du Maroc (CSE: CMA ) added 7.63% or 132.00 points to end at 1,862.00 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CSE: RDS ) was up 7.47% or 7.30 points to 105.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sanlam Maroc SA (CSE: SAH ), which fell 6.63% or 142.00 points to trade at 2,000.00 at the close. Ste de Travaux de Realisation d’Ouvrages et de Constuction Industielle SA (CSE: STR ) declined 4.20% or 2.39 points to end at 54.50 and Afriquia Gaz (CSE: GAZ ) was down 1.20% or 50.00 points to 4,100.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 49 to 5 and 4 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.49% or 0.30 to $61.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.23% or 0.15 to hit $64.61 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 18.99 to trade at $3,225.61 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.27% to 10.55, while USD/MAD fell 0.51% to 9.27.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 99.35.
