Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 2.22%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms , Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 2.22%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST: ERICb ), which rose 7.88% or 5.80 points to trade at 79.40 at the close. Meanwhile, NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST: NIBEb ) added 4.43% or 1.60 points to end at 37.10 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST: SAABb ) was up 3.81% or 16.40 points to 445.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST: BOL ), which rose 0.11% or 0.30 points to trade at 285.60 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST: SCAb ) added 0.35% or 0.50 points to end at 128.50 and AB SKF B (ST: SKFb ) was up 0.76% or 1.40 points to 179.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 529 to 236 and 56 ended unchanged.

Shares in SAAB AB ser. B (ST: SAABb ) rose to all time highs; rising 3.81% or 16.40 to 445.90.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.67% or 0.41 to $61.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.69% or 0.45 to hit $64.43 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 12.81 to trade at $3,239.11 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.59% to 11.13, while USD/SEK rose 1.19% to 9.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 99.88.
