Portugal stocks higher at close of trade; PSI up 1.87%
Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials , Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI rose 1.87%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI: BCP ), which rose 5.10% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ) added 4.77% or 0.16 points to end at 3.51 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI: GALP ) was up 3.97% or 0.51 points to 13.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nos SGPS SA (ELI: NOS ), which fell 3.76% or 0.16 points to trade at 4.10 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) declined 1.60% or 0.14 points to end at 8.62 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI: YSO ) was down 0.97% or 0.01 points to 1.02.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was down 0.76% or 0.49 to $64.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.73% or 0.45 to hit $61.08 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.35% or 11.19 to trade at $3,237.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.63% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP fell 0.87% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 99.89.
