Belgium stocks higher at close of trade; BEL 20 up 1.47%
Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials , Technology and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 rose 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR: WDPP ), which rose 4.85% or 1.00 points to trade at 21.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Melexis NV (EBR: MLXS ) added 3.73% or 1.76 points to end at 48.92 and Elia (EBR: ELI ) was up 3.56% or 3.05 points to 88.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ageas (EBR: AGES ), which fell 2.45% or 1.30 points to trade at 51.70 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS: GLPG ) declined 0.94% or 0.20 points to end at 21.14 and Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR: AZE ) was down 0.06% or 0.01 points to 15.54.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 67 to 31 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.39% or 12.50 to $3,238.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.76% or 0.47 to hit $61.06 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.79% or 0.51 to trade at $64.37 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP fell 0.86% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 99.88.
