Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.76%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.76%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL: KOG ), which rose 3.07% or 48.50 points to trade at 1,628.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Orkla ASA (OL: ORK ) added 2.31% or 2.70 points to end at 119.50 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFG ) was up 1.33% or 3.20 points to 244.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL: GOGL ), which fell 2.21% or 1.70 points to trade at 75.30 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL: FRO ) declined 1.85% or 2.95 points to end at 156.20 and Hafnia Ltd (OL: HAFNI ) was down 0.38% or 0.17 points to 44.25.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 165 to 105 and 26 ended unchanged.

Shares in Orkla ASA (OL: ORK ) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.31% or 2.70 to 119.50. Shares in Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL: GJFG ) rose to all time highs; up 1.33% or 3.20 to 244.20.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.26% or 0.16 to $61.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.31% or 0.20 to hit $64.68 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 12.80 to trade at $3,239.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.41% to 12.00, while USD/NOK rose 0.57% to 10.59.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 99.53.
