Finland stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 up 0.16%

Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.16%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE: NESTE ), which rose 2.83% or 0.21 points to trade at 7.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE: FORTUM ) added 2.10% or 0.28 points to end at 13.61 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE: NDAFI ) was up 1.88% or 0.21 points to 11.35 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE: WRT1V ), which fell 2.38% or 0.38 points to trade at 15.41 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE: KCRA ) declined 2.29% or 1.25 points to end at 53.45 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE: UPM ) was down 2.11% or 0.49 points to 22.70.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 105 to 69 and 10 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for June delivery was up 1.79% or 1.16 to $65.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.97% or 1.21 to hit $62.54 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 3.11% or 100.79 to trade at $3,341.19 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.90% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP rose 0.77% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.75% at 99.21.
