Spain stocks lower at close of trade; IBEX 35 down 0.05%
Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate , Building & Construction and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Repsol (BME: REP ), which rose 1.77% or 0.18 points to trade at 10.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonica (BME: TEF ) added 1.43% or 0.06 points to end at 4.33 and Cellnex Telecom SA (BME: CLNX ) was up 1.37% or 0.47 points to 34.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME: ANE ), which fell 2.28% or 0.37 points to trade at 15.86 at the close. Bankinter (BME: BKT ) declined 1.91% or 0.19 points to end at 9.77 and Grifols SA (BME: GRLS ) was down 1.85% or 0.15 points to 8.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 94 to 92 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.01% or 33.94 to $3,312.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 3.38% or 2.11 to hit $64.58 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 3.10% or 2.04 to trade at $67.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 99.23.
