Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.84%
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking , Leasing & Factoring and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Batisoke Soke Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS: BSOKE ), which rose 9.98% or 1.67 points to trade at 18.41 at the close. Meanwhile, Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) added 6.98% or 3.75 points to end at 57.50 and Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS: TOASO ) was up 6.13% or 10.20 points to 176.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS: ISMEN ), which fell 3.84% or 1.48 points to trade at 37.10 at the close. Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS: OTKAR ) declined 3.80% or 15.50 points to end at 392.75 and Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ) was down 3.80% or 0.47 points to 11.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 414 to 159 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS: PASEU ) rose to all time highs; rising 6.98% or 3.75 to 57.50.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.15% or 5.10 to $3,341.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.40% or 0.26 to hit $64.68 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 3.04% or 2.00 to trade at $67.85 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.43% to 38.15, while EUR/TRY rose 2.00% to 43.59.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 99.13.
