Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 1.33%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking , Sports and Tourism sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.33%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS: KTLEV ), which rose 6.25% or 4.50 points to trade at 76.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Efor Cay Sanayi Tic As (IS: EFORC ) added 6.07% or 5.10 points to end at 89.10 and ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS: ENKAI ) was up 5.25% or 3.20 points to 64.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS: IEYHO ), which fell 9.97% or 1.14 points to trade at 10.30 at the close. Grainturk Holding AS (IS: GRTHO ) declined 9.94% or 31.50 points to end at 285.25 and Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS: DOAS ) was down 7.06% or 15.50 points to 204.20.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 417 to 160 and 14 ended unchanged.

Shares in Efor Cay Sanayi Tic As (IS: EFORC ) rose to all time highs; rising 6.07% or 5.10 to 89.10.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.22% or 40.19 to $3,338.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.90% or 1.20 to hit $61.82 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.04% or 1.34 to trade at $64.46 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 38.43, while EUR/TRY rose 0.37% to 43.79.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 99.06.
